SADDLERS SECURE PREMIER LEAGUE YOUNGSTER

Posted on: Fri 27 Jan 2012

THE SADDLERS have completed the one-month loan signing of Belgian Youth International midfielder, Florent Cuvelier from Premier League outfit, Stoke City.

The 19 year-old was snapped up by The Potters during the summer of 2010 from Portsmouth after they beat off interest from the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur to secure his services.

A technically gifted player, he will be looking forward to getting regular first-team action under his belt as he continues his footballing development.

"He's a lad that we have been aware of for some time", said Saddlers boss, Dean Smith. "He's played against us a couple of times for Stoke reserves this season and did well on each occasion.

"I would describe him as a creative midfielder who gets on the ball and is technically very good.

"He's a young lad who is eager to show what he can do and the experience is going to do him good here."

Cuvelier stands by to make his Saddlers' debut on Tuesday evening when we play host to Notts County (kick-off 7.45pm).
