WALSALL Hospice's annual Starlight Walk takes place in Walsall Arboretum on Friday, September 17th 2010.
This magical event, described as one of the best community events in Walsall, starts at 7.00pm with participants completing five circuits of the Arboretum (around 5.5 miles).
Once again The Saddlers will be well represented on the evening as we help raise vital funds for the running of the hospice, which is due to open its doors in February.
The walk is suitable for people of all fitness levels and the pathway is suitable for wheelchairs and prams - dogs on leads are welcome too.
Registration costs £10 per family (up to two adults and two children), £5 per adult and £2.50 for extra children. To obtain a Registration Form, log-on to www.walsallhospice.co.uk or call 01922-423 578.
"This is a fantastic event that brings local people together in a very special way," said Edna Parkes, who participated in last year's event.
Tracy Wallis added: "I did it in memory of my dad - it was a truly magical night that really moved and uplifted me."
We encourage all Walsall supporters to get involved and show your support to this most worthwhile of causes.
Meanwhile, the latest winner of the Walsall Hospice Weekly Lottery is Deb Lloyd from Rushall, who has scooped the top prize of £2,000. She will be using the money towards a dream holiday to Egypt.
To join the Walsall Hospice Lottery and be in with a chance of winning that weekly jackpot of £2,000, or one of the other 149 cash prizes on offer, visit the Walsall Hospice website www.walsallhospice.co.uk and download a form. Alternatively you can call the Hospice fundraising team on 01922-423 578.
