TWO SADDLERS' stars kicked-off a car auction this week as Manheim Auctions launched their first ever Monday motor auction.

Manny Smith and David Bevan visited Manheim Auctions in Darlaston, who are Executive Box holders at the Banks's Stadium, to mark the start of their Monday auctions.

"It was definitely something different to what I'm used to but it was really enjoyable," said Manny. "It was good to start the first ever Monday auction and it was nice to see a few Walsall fans amongst the crowd."

Smith's team-mate, David Bevan, opened the auction of almost 200 cars by auctioning a dark blue1999 Volvo S80, much to the delight of Christina Lapsa, marketing representative for Manheim Auctions.

"They were very well accepted," she said. "A lot of our customers are local and are Walsall FC fans.

"We had a great turnout, especially for the first Monday sale."
