BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION v WALSALL - THE REACTION

Posted on: Sat 28 Aug 2010

SADDLERS' boss, Chris Hutchings has reflected upon our 2-1 reverse at Brighton & Hove Albion.

"I was pleased with the way in which we went about our job in the first half," he said. "It was quite tactical but we dealt with it well and created some decent chances.

"I felt that we should have gone in at the break in front and we continued to work hard at the start of the second half, but the sending off changed the game. Alex admitted that he lashed out and you can't do that. Hopefully he will learn from it.

"It was nice to see Jon Macken come on and score. He is a quality finisher who will get better the fitter he gets.

"Overall it was disappointing as I felt we should have got something out of the game."
