THE SADDLERS have this afternoon played out a goalless draw with Championship outfit, Coventry City at our Training Ground in Essington.

"It was an extremely worthwhile exercise for us," said manager, Chris Hutchings. "Coventry fielded a slightly more experienced side than us but we gave a good account of ourselves.

"It also gave us the opportunity to have a look at striker, Jon Macken. He has been training with us for the past few days and it was useful to be able to see him in a match situation."
