ENGLAND WOMEN WIN AT BANKS'S STADIUM

ENGLAND Women breezed into the World Cup play-offs with a 3-0 victory over Turkey in front of a crowd of almost 5,500 at Banks's Stadium on Thursday evening.

Rachel Yankey, who was winning her 100th cap, set the Three Lions on their way with a first half opener shortly after hitting the bar.

The advantage was doubled shortly after the hour-mark when substitute, Ellen White turned the ball home.

The scoring was complete on 76 minutes when Faye White headed home to seal victory for Hope Powell's side.
