STEVE Jones can't wait to get back into action. "Pre-season training is always tough," he admitted. "The first day is always the hardest but then you start to get used to it.

"I'm feeling good and just can't wait for the season to get underway now. We have some challenging pre-season games coming up; they will be good work-outs for us against higher level opposition, so we are looking forward to them."

Summer signings, Paul Marshall and Jonny Brain have been joined by a handful of trialists as manager, Chris Hutchings pieces together his squad. "The new lads have come in and bonded well," added Jones. "There is certainly a good vibe around the place at the moment."
