LIKE their male counterparts, Walsall Ladies FC returned to pre-season training recently.

There was an excellent turn-out with several new signings on show as Walsall Ladies prepare for their West Midlands League (South) campaign.

The 2010/11 campaign will see the launch of a second open-age side called Walsall Swifts FC. They will be playing in the Staffordshire County League.

Based at Great Wyrley Football Club in Hazel Lane, Great Wyrley, the club are always on the look-out for new players in all age groups, so if you feel that you have what it takes, contact Brian Simpson on 01922-701 692 or email bc_simo@yahoo.com.

The junior section of the club has increased its age groups and now operate team in Under-11s, 13s, 14s, 15s, 17s and 18s. The main base for the junior section is at Brownhills Community College. Contact Brian Simpson to get involved.

Last season, the Under-14s won the Tesco County Cup and were Tesco Cup Regional Runners-up. Meanwhile the Under 12's were crowned Division One Champions in the Central Warwickshire League.
