THE npower League One season kicks off for The Saddlers with a home game against MK Dons - the team who provided the opposition for the final game of the previous campaign.
Other fixtures during August include trips to Brentford and Brighton, whilst League One new-boys, Plymouth Argyle make the long trip to Banks's Stadium on Saturday, August 21st.
September sees us play host to Colchester United and beaten League One play-off finalists, Swindon Town as we face three games on the road, including a trip to Rochdale who finally ended a long association in The Football League's basement last term.
The month of October starts with a home double-header against Yeovil Town and Exeter City. The month will also include a first-ever League visit to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday, October 16th.
The highlight of November is a Tuesday evening trip to Hillsborough as we renew acquaintances with Sheffield Wednesday. We also play host to a Peterborough United side who were relegated from The Championship along with The Owls last season.
December promises to be an interesting month. Pre-Christmas clashes at Charlton Athletic and at home to Southampton will be tough, whilst the festive fixtures see us head to Bristol Rovers on Boxing Day before Dagenham & Redbridge make their first-ever visit to Banks's Stadium just two days later.
2011 will start at home as East Midlands rivals, Notts County provide the New Year's Day opposition, closely followed by a trip to Peterborough United on January 3rd.
We face Notts County again in February as we make our first visit to Meadow Lane since securing promotion from League Two in 2006/07, on Tuesday, February 1st. Long trips to Carlisle and Colchester also come up this month as we host promoted duo AFC Bournemouth and Rochdale.
Our March fixtures are all against established League One outfits with trips to Swindon, Yeovil and MK Dons and home clashes against Leyton Orient and Hartlepool United.
The business end of the season features a number of tricky fixtures. Our final two home games are against Sheffield Wednesday (on Saturday, April 23rd) and Charlton Athletic (on Saturday, April 30th) before the season comes to a close on Saturday, May 7th with an away trip to the much-fancied Southampton.
There are sure to be plenty of thrills and spills ahead over the course of the season. With some key existing players now signed up and new faces starting to arrive, there is plenty to look forward to in 2010/11. We have some of the cheapest admission prices around allied to some excellent facilities to enhance your matchday experience.
There is plenty to be positive about and in Chris Hutchings and Martin O'Connor we have two men at the helm with experience, drive and a real work ethic.
