DWAYNE Mattis has been ruled out of Saturday's final game of the season against MK Dons having failed to fully shake off an Achilles problem.

"There is no question that Dwayne is improving, but there is no point rushing him back just for the last game of the season," said manager, Chris Hutchings. "Knowing the sort of character he is, he will want to be out there involved in the action, but the important thing is that the injury gets cleared up properly.

"I know exactly what Achilles problems can be like; they can be niggling and difficult to shake off, so it's good that he has a few weeks rest in order to recover and come back fully fit for the new season."
