MIDFIELD man, Matt Richards was disappointed that The Saddlers couldn't bring home maximum points from our trip to Carlisle United. "We had a few good opportunities to win it, particularly in the second half," he said. "I felt a bit disappointed at the end, but that said the overall performance was okay and I felt that we coped reasonably well with the bobbly pitch.

"It was a very open game and was end-to-end stuff for the most part. It's nice to come away not losing and hopefully we can extend our unbeaten run to the end of the season.

"We have done very well in the last five or six games; as a team we have improved a lot and put in some good performances.

"From a personal point of view, I am enjoying it in the centre of midfield as it means that I am involved in everything and can get forward more.

"I feel that I have linked up well with Richard Taundry and am enjoy it."
