BOSS ON CUMBRIANS STALEMATE

Posted on: Tue 04 May 2010

SADDLERS' boss, Chris Hutchings reflects on our 1-1 draw at Carlisle United.

"I was disappointed that we couldn't build upon our early lead," he admitted. "We went on to create four or five good chances in what was a much better second half performance, but failed to take advantage.

"That said, I was pleased with our overall display; Carlisle is never an easy place to go and we certainly had the better opportunities to win the game. On top of that, it's another match unbeaten for us.

"We're not letting the season just fizzle out. We want to finish as high as we can and it is pleasing that we are creating plenty of chances in games."

Clayton McDonald was forced out of the action at half-time with a foot injury, whilst Alex Nicholls was ruled out with a sickness bug.
