GOALKEEPER, Rene Gilmartin has set his sights on a positive end to the season in our final three games, which start with the viit of Hartlepool United on Saturday.

"We've put in very positive performances in our last two away games," he said. "It shows that we are motivated to finish as high up the table as possible.

"I'm feeling good and sharp; yes, there are areas of my game that I want to work on and improve, but the same can be said of anyone.

"At the start of the season I set myself a target of playing in 20 games. I've achieved that now and it's pleasing to see all of the hard work and effort starting to pay off. I feel that it's important to have targets to aim for.

"Hopefully our form can run into the final three games and we can have a positive finish to the season. We're still motivated to play and want to go out and put on a performance in front of our own fans on Saturday.

"Hartlepool will also want to finish on a high, so it's going to be a good battle. I know a couple of their Irish lads, and Roy O'Donovan is certainly in good scoring form at the moment, so I will be looking to frustrate him.

"The fact that I've got the jersey and it's in my hands is great. I just want to play in these final three games, do well and earn a new deal. I don't want to look too far ahead, I just want to continue to learn and work hard at my game.

"My motivation is that I want to give a good account of myself in every game and help the club progress."
