VINCENT LOOKING FORWARD TO ROBINS RETURN

Posted on: Fri 16 Apr 2010

FORMER Swindon Town man, Jamie Vincent is looking forward to his County Ground return as he attempts to help The Saddlers enjoy a positive end to the campaign.

"It's always nice to go back to former clubs," said Vincent, who made a total of 89 appearances for The Robins before returning for his second spell at Banks's Stadium during the summer. "Hopefully we can go there and bring home a positive result.

"Swindon have done really well this season. They made a lot of changes during the summer and the players that they have brought in have done a good job for them.

"They have been on a good run, but have wobbled a little during the past couple of games, so we know that if we all turn up on the day and perform as we can, then we have every chance of getting something. We have proved on numerous occasions this season that we can hold our own against the top teams in this League.

"We worked hard for each other and really dug in on Tuesday at Huddersfield; everyone wrote us off, but we showed tremendous character to get our noses in front. It was a great effort from all concerned, but it's just a pity that we couldn't hold on right at the death.

"But we will take the positives from that game and use them in these final games."
