THE PERFORMANCE of Richard Taundry in the middle of the park at Huddersfield was typical of the committed, never-say-die attitude that saw the ten-man Saddlers come back from two goals down to lead 3-2 with just minutes remaining.

"It was certainly a roller-coaster of a game," he said. "It was a massive effort from us and we are disappointed that we couldn't hold onto our lead towards the end and let it slip.

"The lads all stuck together and worked hard for each other. Going down to ten men so early was a massive disappointment. We've had a few sent off recently but I don't think we're a dirty team.

"It's never easy going down to ten men, but we displayed great grit and determination. We can take great credit out of the game and hopefully take this into Saturday's trip to Swindon."

The Saddlers were given a standing ovation at the end by the 123 faithful fans who made the trip. "Our away supporters have been brilliant all season," added Taundry. "They stayed behind us even when we were two goals down and were a great credit to the club."
