RESERVE team manager, Martin O'Connor's has reflected on Tuesday evening's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Sheffield United.

"We were the better team up to the final third," he said. "I thought that we started the game brightly, but Sheffield United scored against the run of play and it cost us.

"I felt that we applied ourselves well enough, it's just that we couldn't get that decisive goal and lacked that bit of quality when it mattered.

"That said, there were some bright performances from the likes of Will Grigg and Mark Bradley, whilst Sam Parkin got the full 90 minutes under his belt, which was a bonus for us."
