ONE OF our most prestigious occasions of the year is the Walsall FC Awards Nights, which this year will take place on Sunday, May 9th in the Stadium Suite.

As ever, you will be asked to vote for the Player of the Season via the usual Supporters Club ballot, but we are now looking for your nominations for the Fan of the Season award.

You have until Saturday, March 20th to send in your nominations before a short-list of four will be drawn up and you will be asked to vote for the most deserving supporter to take this coveted accolade.

Send the name of the super supporter, their age, years supporting The Saddlers and your reason for nomination, along with your own name and contact details, to a.poole@walsallfc.co.uk. Alternatively you can post it to Fan of the Season Nomination, Walsall FC, Banks's Stadium, Bescot Crescent, Walsall WS1 4SA.

Last year Claire Hendy and Nicola King won the prize, whilst Elsie Siddons took the 2007/08 honour.

Look out for your chance to vote for the Goal of the Season coming soon.

Tickets for the event will be £30 each, to include a four-course meal, the presentation of the awards, entertainment from comedian, Ian 'Sludge' Lees and a disco. They can be purchased on 01922-651 414/416 or by calling into the Banks's Stadium Ticket Office or The Football Shop in Walsall Town Centre.

It's a great opportunity for supporters to come along and meet players, management and staff.
