SADDLERS' boss, Chris Hutchings has expressed his delight at securing the services of Julian Gray on a deal until the end of the season.

"He is an experienced and creative player who has performed at a higher level," he said. "He is versatile in the sense that as well as playing out wide, he is also comfortable up front and as a wing-back.

"I am extremely grateful to the chairman for allowing us to bring in such a quality player. He loves to take people on and run with the ball, but is also prepared to work hard defensively.

"We have been working very hard behind the scenes to strengthen the squad and to have someone of his calibre is a big boost to us."

The necessary clearance has been received for Gray to be available for selection at the weekend. He has been handed squad number 24.
