BANKS'S Stadium will play host to the latest event to raise vital funds for The Liam Keeling Foundation later this month.

13 year-old Liam Keeling was a Saddlers' fanatic and a popular member of The Junior Saddlers. He was also a key player for Wyrley Juniors Under-13s FC.

He tragically died of bacterial meningitis in October and since then his family and friends have set up the Foundation in order to raise funds to aid research and also increase awareness of the condition.

A Sporting Dinner featuring former Wolves player, Steve Kindon - an hilarious after-dinner speaker - and comedian, Ollie Spencer will take place at the stadium on Thursday, February 11th.

The local business community has been extremely generous by booking tables and making donations for what promises to be an enjoyable evening..

Meanwhile during the course of the evening, Walsall FC will present a cheque for £1,000 to the Foundation from monies received during the fund-raising at our Christmas Party Nights throughout December.

The Walsall All Stars team, which included the likes of Martin O'Connor, Don Goodman, Dean Smith, Mark Kinsella and Paul Hall, also recently took part in a match against Wyrley Juniors FC which helped to raise £6,500 for Meningitis UK.
