TOWERING central defender, Clayton McDonald made a return to the starting line-up on Tuesday evening for the visit of free-scoring Norwich City.

"I loved being back out there," he said. "I was a little nervous early on but soon got back into the swing of things and took to it like a duck to water.

"We put everything into the game, so to concede two sloppy late goals was very disappointing. It was our game and we threw it away.

"Norwich are top of the League for a reason and took full advantage, but we must make sure that as a team we keep our concentration from the first whistle to the last.

"We've certainly played a lot worse than that and ended up getting something out of the game, in fact I would say that it was one of our better performances of the season.

"We went at them straight away and it is important that we take the positives out of the game and learn from our mistakes. The lads worked hard for each other and we can build on that.

"It's good that we have a game coming up on Saturday to put things right and aim to get back into winning ways. Everyone wants the best for this club. There is a job to be done and we can't feel sorry for ourselves as there are plenty of matches coming up and a lot of points to play for."
