SADDLERS' boss, Chris Hutchings has reflected upon our narrow defeat at the hands of League One leaders, Norwich City. "It was very disappointing," he said. "We got ourselves into a good position and created a few chances but then conceded two sloppy goals.

"I can't fault the lads for effort and commitment and the way that they played. I felt that we nullified them quite well; there were plenty of positives for us to take out of the game, the only negative was the final result.

"To be fair, there didn't look too much between the two teams. We had lots of quality play, but it just didn't fall for us to get that second goal.

"Both teams tried to play football in difficult conditions and we can take heart from the performance.

"It's a case of picking ourselves up and making sure that we show the same effort and quality on a consistent basis, starting with Saturday's trip to Gillingham."

Midfielder, Dwayne Mattis was forced to hobble out of the action during the second half after picking up a calf strain.
