THE SADDLERS' second-string suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of their Derby County counterparts in the totesport.com League Central Division this afternoon.

First-half goals from Jay McEveley and DJ Campbell put the hosts 2-0 up before Campbell bagged his second and Derby's third at the start of the second-half.

Derby included a number of senior players. As well as their two goalscorers, the likes of Nicky Hunt, Gary Teale, Luke Varney and Lee Hendrie all featured.

For The Saddlers, first-teamers Rene Gilmartin, Jamie Vincent, Clayton McDonald, Josh O'Keefe, Richard Taundry, Alex Nicholls and Sam Parkin all started.
