SATURDAY'S game at Southend United has fallen victim of the winter weather which has already decimated the weekend fixture schedule.

Referee, Paul Taylor carried out an inspection of the Roots Hall pitch on Thursday afternoon, but with the stadium and surrounding area under snow and ice and more heavy snow forecast over the next couple of days, the decision was made to postpone the fixture - our fourth successive postponement.

It means that all but two League One fixtures have now been postponed for the weekend after The Football League gave special dispensation to clubs to stage early pitch inspections.
