AS OUR fourth successive match bites the dust with the postponement of Saturday's trip to Southend, emerging full-back, Netan Sansara has admitted that the squad are now fitter than ever. "We've certainly been put through our paces in no uncertain terms by the coaching staff," he said with a wry smile. "Our fitness levels can't be faulted and we are ready to get back into it when the matches start coming again.

"The Field Turf and gym have proved really useful for us over the past few weeks. As professionals, all we can do is prepare for games as normal and be ready.

"Of course it's been frustrating and I can't wait to kick a ball again and help the club push on up the table.

"We know only too well that the games are eventually going to start coming thick and fast. The squad needs to group together for this busy period because there are some important points up for grabs and some big games.

"From a personal point of view I have to make sure that my own performances are right because Jamie Vincent is chomping at the bit ready to get back in. I know that I am by no means the finished article yet but I can learn a lot from Jamie and the Gaffer and I am determined to keep my place."
