A SCAN has shown up no serious damage to Steve Jones as he battles to overcome a niggling groin problem that has halted his progress in recent weeks.

"The scan results were pleasing," said manager, Chris Hutchings. "Steve is working closely with the physio now and making steady progress.

"There has been an improvement over the past few days, but we are still taking things day-by-day and will be careful not to rush him back too soon as obviously he is keen to get back into action and continue in the sort of form that he was showing before the injury."
