SADDLERS' boss, Chris Hutchings has reflected upon our 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Southampton, only our second reverse on home soil in the League this term. "I thought it was quite even in the opening 30 minutes or so but then a bit of quality made all the difference for Southampton," he said. "David Connolly and Rickie Lambert should be playing at a higher level and we didn't cope with them as well as we should.

"That said, we worked hard , but we knew it was always going to be difficult and so it proved.

"You will get punished if you don't concentrate at this level; we could have retained the ball better, but we will look for the right response in the next game."
