FRONT-man, Troy Deeney was delighted to get back amongst the goals against Oldham Athletic on Tuesday evening as his brace made it six for the season so far.

"It was nice to get back on the scoresheet," he said with a smile. "Hopefully I can kick-on now and go on a bit of a run.

"Darren Byfield did extremely well to set up my first and for the second it was nice that the work I have been doing on my first touch paid off.

"We are playing very well as a team right now. We are creating chances, scoring goals and all of the hard work is paying off.

"We've got the freedom to go out and do our thing; the incentive is to keep winning games and see where it takes us."

The 21 year-old has forged an impressive strike partnership with Darren Byfield. "We're a good foil for each other," he added. "Darren's got tremendous ability and he still has plenty of pace. I really enjoy playing alongside him.

"He stretches the game out and I try to get on the ball. If I can add a bit more quality to my game, we can do some real damage."
