SADDLERS' assistant manager, Martin O'Connor has reflected on our 3-0 victory over Oldham Athletic. "It was a fully deserved win," he said. "We expressed the importance of starting brightly and getting amongst them before the game, particularly at home.

"I wouldn't say that we were bang at it, but our quality showed through when the opening goal came and we were the better team in the first half.

"I thought we were a bit sloppy early in the second half, but in the end we ran out worthy winners to continue our impressive recent form.

"We know our strengths and will work on them as well as our weaknesses. Our focus now turns to Brentford and making progress in the FA Cup. We will go there with confidence and hopefully get the right result."
