FORMER Bury man, Dwayne Mattis is looking forward to Tuesday evening's Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round tie at the Banks's Stadium (kick-off 7.45pm). "I have very fond memories of my time at Bury," he recalled. "I played the best football of my career there and earned a move into The Championship with Barnsley.

"They are a good club with some dedicated people involved and I wish them well for the season - after Tuesday, of course!

"I went back to watch them a few times last season; they are a good, strong team who will give us a tough game. It is up to us to make home advantage count and if we can reach the standards that we know we are capable of, we will be okay.

"Winning matches can become a habit and this competition gives us a realistic chance of making it to Wembley. A good run in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy would give everyone a boost, but Bury will be thinking exactly the same and will be up for it too."
