HUTCHINGS REFLECTS
SADDLERS' boss, Chris Hutchings has reflected upon our 2-1 defeat at the hands of Leeds United. "I was generally pleased with the way in which we went about our job," he said. "A lapse in concentration allowed them to get back into the game and there were one or two little faults that we can pick up on against a good passing side who will be up there come the end of the season.
"It was a good test of how far we have come. Once again we displayed plenty of character and now we must make sure that we pick ourselves up for another big game at Charlton on Saturday, where we will have to work just as hard.
"There was a wonderful atmosphere inside the ground, with around 5,000 Walsall supporters in attendance and they gave the players excellent backing on the night. It's just a pity that we didn't give them something to cheer about at the final whistle."
