HUTCHINGS ON SHRIMPERS' DRAW
SADDLERS' boss, Chris Hutchings has reflected upon our 2-2 home draw with Southend United on Saturday.
"We would have won the game with 11 men on the field," he said. "We were looking comfortable until circumstances went against us.
"That said, I was delighted with the character that we displayed. We didn't deserve to lose and dug deep to get something out of the game right at the end.
"There were positives to take out of the game; I was pleased to see Steve Jones and Sam Parkin get their first goals for the club, whilst young Darryl Westlake came into the side and and slotted in well. He has made tremendous progress and can be pleased with his performance.
"We got a point and now we look forward to the Leeds game on Tuesday."
