SADDLERS' boss, Chris Hutchings was a happy man after seeing The Saddlers start the season with a win at Brighton & Hove Albion. "It was a good workman-like performance," he said. "We did well in the first half but knew that we would come under pressure after the break.

"We withstood that pressure well and and were quite successful in the way that we dealt with their tactics overall.

"We dug deep when we had to and played with real discipline. The important thing was that we brought home all three points to start the season in the right way."
