THE EXPERIENCED Jamie Vincent became Chris Hutchings' latest summer capture when he put pen to paper on a one-year deal following a successful trial spell.

"I've been here for two weeks and have really enjoyed the training and games," said the reliable left-back who had a 13-game loan spell at the club in 2003/04. "It was an easy decision for me to sign for the club.

"We have quite a young team here, but the manager has brought in some experienced heads and I feel that we have a good mix.

"I will bring experience and calmness to the team; I'm a good communicator and hope to get as many games under my belt as possible and steady the ship.

"This is a chance for me to show people what I can do as well as helping to bring Netan Sansara on. Of course, we both want to play our fair share of games and the competition will be healthy to push each other on.

"It's going to be a difficult season, and a particularly tough opening month, but we are well equipped to cope with the demands."

Vincent will be part of the Walsall squad that travels to Hereford United tomorrow (kick-off 3.00pm) for our final first-team pre-season friendly fixture.
