NETAN Sansara believes that the influx of young, homegrown talent will stand The Saddlers in good stead.

The 20 year-old signed a new contract last week and revealed that Chris Hutchings' policy to give youth a chance went a long way in him agreeing to extend his stay at the Banks's Stadium.

"You only have to look at the side last season to see that the manager isn't afraid to give the young players a chance," he said. "Last season there were the likes of Alex Nicholls, Troy Deeney, Mark Bradley, Richard Taundry and Manny Smith all in the first team.

"All of us have come through the youth system roughly together and it would be great if we formed the basis of the Walsall team for years to come.

"That is the incentive, to go from the youth team to be a key part of the first team.

"We are all very close and we get on very well, so it would be great if we stuck together.
