POSITIVES & NEGATIVES FOR JABO
JABO Ibehre admitted he was at a loss to explain how he ended up on the losing on side on Saturday after bagging a brace to give The Saddlers a two-goal lead.
Looking in complete control at the Banks's Stadium, Chris Hutchings' side were stung by two quick goals just before the half-time interval before opponents Huddersfield completed a remarkable turnaround in the second period to record a 3-2 victory.
"We made a great start," he said. "We were playing some good football, everyone was integrating and we were passing the ball around. It was really fun and when we took the lead and then got another goal, we thought we had the game won and it was going to be a nice afternoon where we enjoyed the football.
"In football there's always a twist and it was disappointing to lose the game after being two goals in front.
"I thought we played as well as we have done for a few weeks but to play that well and lose is a bit disheartening."
On a positive note, Ibehre's two-goal haul took him in to double figures for the season, a tally he is hoping to add to between now and May 2nd.
"It's always nice to score goals but I just wish we would have won," he added. "I worked hard and sometime you get your rewards and sometimes you don't.
"The first target I set myself was ten goals. I've reached that now and want to add to it before the end of the season."
