FRENCH wide-man, Sofiene Zaaboub is playing football with a smile on his face again.

The 26 year-old has been in sparkling form for The Saddlers in recent months, providing the ammunition for the front-men and emerging as a popular figure amongst the fans. "I've been working hard in training," he said. "I am really enjoying my football; having the confidence of the manager gives me a real boost and I want to do well for him, my team-mates and the supporters.

"I have been trying to work hard for the team as well as getting forward and creating chances.

"There is a good atmosphere at the club with everyone working hard for each other. I have got my smile back."

Zaaboub is looking forward to Saturday's game against a Cheltenham Town side who are battling for their lives at the foot of the table. "Every game is a difficult one," he added. "Cheltenham are trying hard to stay up and will be fighting hard for the points.

"My job is to have the ball early and try to deliver the ball into the best position for the strikers.

"The backing of the supporters certainly helps to bring the best out of me."
