TALENTED central defender, Anthony Gerrard made a welcome return to training today as he steps up his recovery from a niggling hamstring problem that he picked up at the end of last month. "It's a real boost to have Anthony back in training," said manager, Chris Hutchings. "He has worked hard with the physio and come through it okay, so we will monitor his progress over the next couple of days.

"Obviously he's desperate to get back into action, but we have to be careful with him and make sure that he isn't rushed back too quickly."

Fellow defender, Stephen Roberts is making slow progress as he looks to overcome a back injury. "He's putting the work in, but it's a case of taking things day-by-day with him," added Hutchings. "At this stage it's not possible to put a timescale on his return."
