THE FORMALITIES surrounding Chris Palmer's contract extension at the Banks's Stadium have now been completed, meaning the versatile 25 year-old will remain at the club until at least the end of the 2008/09 campaign.

Palmer has made 29 appearances for The Saddlers to date.

Elsewhere, Marco Reich has today left Walsall Football Club. The 31 year-old German midfielder signed a six-month contract in the summer and made 21 appearances during his spell with The Saddlers. We wish him well for the future.
