NICHOLLS IN POSITIVE FRAME OF MIND

Posted on: Thu 29 Jan 2009

ALEX Nicholls is looking forward to Saturday's visit of Leeds United. "We're under no illusions about how difficult it will be," he admitted. "But we will approach the game in a positive frame of mind, determined to get back into winning ways.

"Leeds are a good team, but like anyone in this League, they are beatable. We know that on our day we are capable of getting positive results against anyone at this level.

"The atmosphere will be good on Saturday and hopefully our supporters will play their part to push us on. As a player, you want to be involved in these type of occasions, it's inspiring and Tuesday's game against Leicester City will be exactly the same.

"With the games coming thick and fast, we've haven't had as much opportunity as we would have liked to work with the new manager on the training ground, but that will come.

"From a personal point of view I just want to keep doing as well as I can and hopefully impress the new boss enough to stay in the team."

MAKE SOME NOISE FOR CHRIS, MARTIN AND THE BOYS ON SATURDAY...
