WITH four goals from his last five games, Alex Nicholls is a man in form.

The 21 year-old has established a regular starting place in recent weeks and is playing with a smile on his face. "Whilst it was good to bring home a point and a clean sheet from our last away game at Cheltenham, we were disappointed because we created some good chances and could have won the game in the end," he said. "That said, at least we are still creating plenty of chances in each game and that will stand us in good stead.

"Boxing Day is normally our biggest crowd of the season and hopefully they will turn up in good numbers and get behind us right from the first whistle against Stockport.

"It's going to be a decent test for us against a side who have done well so far, but I know that if we are on our metal, we will get the victory.

"I can't stress enough how important the backing of our supporters is going to be. At the same time, as players we have got to make sure that we go out there and give them something to cheer about.

"There is a good spirit around the place and we're looking forward to these festive matches."

After playing host to Stockport County on Boxing Day (kick-off 3.00pm), we then travel to Tranmere Rovers on Sunday, December 28th (kick-off 3.00pm) and Carlisle United on Saturday, January 3rd (kick-off 3.00pm).
