SWINDON Town caretaker boss, David Byrne reflected on a frustrating afternoon at the Bank's Stadium, admitting defensive frailties cost his side a shot at three points against The Saddlers.

Former Walsall loanee Byrne took the positives from the game. "That was probably as good a performance as we have seen this term but again we got nothing for our efforts," he said. "If we can put the defensive side right, then there is no side in this division that we won't score against. Going forward we are a real handful and we showed that again on Saturday.

"I think the fact that their 'keeper got man of the match tells the story, but that's football."
