DESPITE winning the trophy during his time at Arsenal, Stephen Hughes was as excited as anyone when the FA Cup Trophy Tour arrived at the Banks's Stadium earlier today.

The FA Cup Trophy Tour powered by E.ON is a joint initiative by The FA and E.ON and will be visiting 50 football clubs during the course of the season.

A host of local school children enjoyed the fully-interactive tour before meeting The Saddlers' skipper earlier this afternoon, whilst those who pre-registered will have the chance to see the FA Cup up until 7.00pm this evening.

Hughes, who won the FA Cup in 1998, enjoyed taking a stroll down memory lane and reliving what he describes as 'the biggest achievement' of his career.

"It's a fantastic tour," he said. "A lot of kids have come out to see the FA Cup and there's been a real buzz about the place.

"I was lucky enough to be involved in the Arsenal squad that won it a decade ago and that, along with winning the Premier League in the same year, is my biggest achievement in football.

"I played in the semi-final against Wolves at Villa Park and then was part of the squad that beat Newcastle. My winners medal has pride of place in my home but, even though I've been lucky enough to win the FA Cup, I was still excited to get my hands on it today.

"As a kid I had my picture taken with the FA Cup and FA Cup Final day was a real family occasion for us all.

"It's a magical competition and I'm just proud to have been involved in it."
