SADDLERS BACK ON THE ROAD

Posted on: Thu 13 Nov 2008

AFTER three consecutive home games, The Saddlers hit the road this weekend as we make our first-ever appearance at Colchester United's brand-new Weston Homes Community Stadium.

The team head to Essex on Friday in preparation for our clash with a U's side that has found the early League One going tough following their relegation from The Championship at the end of last term. "Our away form has been decent to be fair," said Troy Deeney, who has been a regular starter in recent games. "We've beaten teams like Bristol Rovers and Brighton and did well against Leicester.

"It's at home where we've let our supporters down a bit and we need to put that right.

"I'm a football fan and I can understand their frustration because, in the last couple of games, we haven't done ourselves justice on home soil. We know that as much as everyone else and it's up to us to turn that around."
