SADDLERS' boss, Jimmy Mullen was a disappointed man after we let a two-goal lead slip to lose at home to Hartlepool United.

"I thought that we were absolutely superb in first half," he said. "We went in at the break deservedly two goals up, but I am gobsmacked by what happened in the second half.

"I am very disappointed with the way we capitulated; we got ourselves into a situation where we made wrong decisions.

"We're not going to make any excuses. We've got a big game coming up on Tuesday against a strong and well-organised Leicester side, which gives us an immediate chance to bounce back.

"I am disappointed for the fans; we let them and ourselves down, but we will regroup and assess things."

Skipper Stephen Hughes missed the game with flu, whilst Michael Ricketts was feeling a sore hamstring after the game.
