INCE SET TO RETURN
CLAYTON Ince is today on his way back to the UK after helping Trinidad & Tobago to a 2-1 World Cup qualifying victory over the USA on Wednesday.
The popular stopper has missed the last two games, but is set to return against Hartlepool United at the weekend. "Providing Clayton returns fit, he will go straight back into the team," stated manager, Jimmy Mullen. "Rene Gilmartin has done very well for me in the past couple of games, but Clayton is my number one 'keeper.
"I have spoken to Rene and he understands that Clayton is my first choice, but he has showed us what he can do and has done himself a lot of good over the past two games."
There was a further boost for Mullen as midfield man, Mark Bradley figured for half-an-hour in the Welsh Under-21s' narrow European Championship play-off defeat at the hands of England. "Mark has overcome his recent injury problems and is back in the fold, competing for his place in the side.
"He got a good 30 minutes under his belt on Tuesday and we have had some good reports about his performances for the Welsh team."
