SADDLERS' boss, Jimmy Mullen was a happy man after seeing his side make progress in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at the expense of Cheltenham Town.

"Our hosts caught us cold early on, but it was the kick up the backside that we needed," he said. "The response from the lads was first-class and I felt that we went on to dominate the game, although we had to be patient before getting ourselves back on level terms.

"We played some decent football and kept plugging away and our efforts were rewarded with two well-worked goals."
