LOCAL lad, Richard Taundry is keen to play his part in helping The Saddlers embark upon a winning run of results, starting at The Memorial Stadium on Saturday as we take on Bristol Rovers (kick-off 3.00pm).

The 19 year-old has figured in all of our games so far, playing in a midfield berth. "From a personal point of view, I feel that I am starting to get into my stride," he said. "The team has put in some impressive second half performances so far and it would be nice to bring it all together and get ourselves on a positive run of results.

"We've got the players here to be challenging at the right end of the table, so it's a case of getting a level of consistency in our play that will keep us in the top half of the table.

"Everyone involved with the club has a responsibility to play their part, be it the players on the pitch, the manager and his staff or the supporters who can certainly give us the lift we need at times.

"I just want to continue working hard to keep my place in the team."
