THE SADDLERS play their first home pre-season friendly on Tuesday evening when Premier League outfit, Aston Villa provide the opposition here at the Banks's Stadium (kick-off 7.45pm).

"It's another important step forward in our preparations," said manager, Jimmy Mullen. "Everything is geared towards getting us ready for the first game of the season at Yeovil Town on August 9th.

"This is a big game for the supporters; the Aston Villa squad is packed full of quality and they will provide us with an extremely stern test.

"There will be some new faces on show and everyone is looking forward to the game."

Admission is just £12 (adults) and £6 (concessions) for all areas of the ground. Visiting supporters will be accommodated within the Homeserve Stand and West Bromwich Building Society Stand. A Matchday Programme will be on sale at just £2 per copy.

Mullen's men have already convincingly beaten Hednesford Town (3-0) and Worcester City (4-0) so far, whilst a youth team slipped to a 5-0 defeat at Rushall Olympic on Saturday.
