THE SADDLERS have completed the signing of powerful centre forward, Jabo Ibehre from Leyton Orient on a one-year deal.

Developing well whilst coming through the ranks at the Matchroom Stadium, he made his first-team debut at the age of just 17 and went on to become a popular figure amongst The O's supporters with his committed and no-nonsense performances serving the club well.

The 25 year-old, who made almost 250 appearances for Leyton Orient, notched seven goals last term and is determined to make his mark here at the Banks's Stadium. "It's nice to get a centre forward in," said manager, Jimmy Mullen. "He's only 25 but has bags of experience. He's tall, powerful, quick and. more importantly, has an eye for goal.

"I didn't think that he would become available but when he did we quickly went in for him. I believe that we can get even more out of him.

"He burst into the Leyton Orient first-team at a very young age and the experience that he has had in that time will stand him in good stead for the challenge here.

"Our patience has been rewarded with this signing. Players don't want to be rushed into making decisions and hopefully we'll be able to add another three or four new faces in the days ahead."

Don't forget that www.saddlers.co,uk will have first news of any new signings once the deal has been signed, sealed and delivered.
