MONEY ALERT TO HATTERS THREAT

Posted on: Fri 29 Feb 2008

THE SADDLERS travel to face a Luton Town side who will be boosted by the news this week that there has been a conditional acceptance of a consortium, fronted by Midlands Today newsreader, Nick Owen, to take over the club.

"This game has danger written all over it," admitted Saddlers' boss and former Luton player, Richard Money. "The impending takeover will give Luton a massive boost and one look at their team sheet will tell you what a strong squad of players they have at their disposal.

"Mick Harford is starting to stamp their authority on the team and they have put in some impressive recent performances.

"As a result, this is going to be a tough game for us and with the squad that they have, they should be in the top six rather than battling it out at the bottom.

"That said, we go into the game on the back of a tremendous performance at Swindon last weekend. We were fantastic from start to finish and our response to having a goal chalked off within the first minute was first-class."
